From what I’ve read from other discussions about BTTH, they removed or changed alot of the relationships from the source material. From what I know about Chinese TV shows, they don’t typically show kissing and other similar content in their anime.
I remember reading from somewhere that they actually made scenes and episode similar to source material. But the Chinese government called to get it changed.
I wish the studio use some common sense & initiative to improve the storyline and characters, especially their useless irrelevant minor villains. FFS if you want to introduce minor villains along the story to drag it out make even longer storyline, dont always make your villains like complete IDIOTS and always trying to start something at the most nonsense meaningless or petty reasons while being arrogant but ignorant of MC despite all the accomplishments he did, he should be the talking point by everyone by now, yet like all past IDIOT Villains, this 2 Pill Idiots acts arrogant but later got their arses handled by the MC, just the same boring repeat of every freaking villains in this show. If you want to make a villain to start something because the author is too DUMB to write a good story without dragging out the plot by putting irrelevant villains with BS reasons to fight with MC, at least give your villains BETTER REASONS WITH A BIT OF BRAIN to start a fight!
And WTF is MC with his father, until now MC has not shown even a single effort or real concern to go all out to hunt every Hall of Soul members to hunt & save his father. Another example of purposely dragging the storyline to do other irrelevant & unimportant matters instead of totally focusing to crush Hall of Soul completely once and for all or at least work towards it and spending every resources, time & energy but instead we contimues to get this kind of boring repeating meaningless fights by Idiots irrelevant minor villains!
You dont need to make all your villains be like petty idiots & clueless in order to try to make your MC stands out and look cool & impressive, just take a look at Renegade Immortal’s villains and their reasons to fight with their MC.
