TBH, he is not exactly OP yet fam. You already forgotten he got stopped by one of the elders of Soul Clan. Our boi is only a 1 star Dou Sheng atm but he will eventually level up and be able to handle all of them but right now he has to take care of the smaller stuff first. Since he is practically much stronger than all of them right now. 😈😈😈 Reaching Dou Shen is no joke after all, sheesh!!!
It seems that Tencent has no idea how to tell a coherent story. It’s just an endless loop of advancing and fighting increasingly stronger opponents. I think we’re at the 10th elder of an elder of an elder — and it still won’t end. It’s the same nonsense they pulled with Perfect World and their other recycled garbage.
I think all of you must live in a world where cultivation and levelling really do exist… where stories like this should be obvious and compelling without needing to worry about maintaining narrative tension…… amma right? The single biggest issue any of these kinds of stories have, is that companies like Tencent simply don’t have the time or money to draw them out and detail them like the novels they are drawn from. And even if they did, 1. People would lose interest and get fed up with the speed of progression, 2. You’ll never get VA’s to spend their entire career on one project.
Perhaps instead of complaining about it though, you could suggest how you might fix it? Maybe you’ve thought of something they haven’t?
LydoSr, I think you’re missing the bigger picture. Tencent has taken over a lot of promising donghua projects simply because they have the money to do so. But once they’re involved, the storytelling often suffers—rushed pacing, recycled tropes, and shallow adaptations. It’s not the source material or the studios that are the problem—it’s the corporate approach. Saying they “don’t have time” is just an excuse. They do have time and resources—they just don’t use them well. If we want better donghua, we need less Tencent interference and more creative freedom.
Xiao Yan is finally op jesus christ they took forever in getting him there

Xiao Yan’s hair style is ridiculous, he looks like a total wanker.
