Well all of Heavenly Silk Potato’s novels are like this. The MCs are not ruthless enough and has help all the time. Martial Universe and The Great Ruler also has this flaws. It’s like there’s parental guidance in his novels. Whereas, Er Gen’s novels, although with the help of an artifact, solely relies on themselves to cultivate and are extremely ruthless like Renegade Immortal, I Shall Seal the Heavens, Pursuit of Truth.

He and his allies are here to help the Dragon Clan, why would they keep fighting to the death, if this way is faster?
Ignoring the fact that they were already mortal enemies and there was no reason for him to spare any of their lives.. he should have at least split up the hostages, you never keep them all in one place, rookie mistake!
