I have no issue with the MC powering up after earning a treasure. I have a problem with him going suicidal for an attendant, when he has been terribly ruthless before with people that didn’t deserve it. That distortion between past actions and actual ones, is what bothers me. Without plot armor on his side, everyone would have though that he is acting foolish. But because plot armor helps him come out on top, people thinks he is cool.
I don’t often agree with many comments down here, but I do with yours. The only true tie that he has forged in this series, is with Wan’er….. and that was hard fought for and developed over time. These boys have “all of a sudden” made him act in ways that make no sense for him in such a short space of time. There is simply not enough emotional baggage for someone of his stature to have gained….. or indeed regressed to. To me it feels like they couldn’t come up with a better way to bring him into conflict with the General, so they came up with this…… and it kinda sucks. They get a pass for now, but man they walkin on rice paper now!

every main character has atleast some form of plot armor and hey mood swings happens you sound just like those guys trying to stop Wang Lin lol I also think ur misunderstanding what he did for suicide Wang Lin doesn’t do things where he can’t get out of it he’s very calculatative when he does something
And btw, this all happened in the source material as well, tencent didnt make anything up here. this literally happens in the novel. Its fine to not understand, but literally wang lin IN THIS EPISODE explains exactly why he is acting as he is, hes standing by how he believes he should act, and doing what he can to not have regrets. you guys should write your own novels because you clearly have some sort of cosmic golden guide as to how a truly good story should play out.
I don’t mind him killing people assuming he’s hangover — I do a lot of stupid things when drunk :D. Different emotions play out when you’re drunk or after, so I don’t mind Wang Lin being reckless or emotional.
Finally MC is making huge strides I don’t care that its not logical or whatever I just need to see Wang Lin be OP as fuck
