Taint – Renegade Immortal is quite good and delves into the cultivation dao instead of merely gathering spiritual energy like most, but not my favorite. The MC is quite the hypocrite. He ended up becoming another cultivator abusing his power so he can reach higher, just like the same ones that he hated at the beginning… and his obsession with his ‘wife’ is ridiculous given that he forgot about her for centuries until she was dying. Then, he basically attempted to sacrifice an innocent young girl…
Honestly, all donghuas have glaring flaws. It’s hard to choose… I like to see a few of them to compensate what I perceive as their flaws. I would not choose a single one at the very top, no matter how good the animation is.
